The Open Design Contest
Open Design is the most radical new development in the field of creative industries. Open Design is not just an aesthetic expression, it is a new creative strategy. These emerging new strategies constitute a paradigm shift for creatives, artists and makers. Not only creative processes, also business models are different in an Open Design environment and this radical change will have an affect also on all levels of work and live. Open Design gives new oppurtunities to all creatives to extend their value generating systems towards fabrication of their own products.
Open Design as a New Tool For Collaboration
This radical innovation is a new impulse for economy and society and enables traditional SMEs to close the digital gap between production processes and digital fabrication. Not only young entrepreneurs are profiting from Open Design but also traditional craft and production companies. The idea of Open Design is also communication and collaboration between creatives, craft and local enterprises who all can profit from this new development.
